Alaya Dedaun Kuta: A Private Pool Villa Review
For my two-night stay in Kuta, Bali, I chose Alaya Dedaun Kuta. This resort is a charming, small-scale pool villa enclave nestled in Kuta. What struck me most was the peaceful and cozy atmosphere that greeted me just a short distance from the bustling Kuta town center. It’s a place I can confidently recommend, especially for those seeking a pool villa for their honeymoon, and I’m excited to share the details of my stay.
Alaya Dedaun Kuta Hotel Details
Just a short turn off the lively streets of Kuta, Bali, you’ll find this comfortable hotel, exuding a distinct Balinese charm. Despite its location in the heart of the city, the beautifully maintained landscaping made me feel as if I had stepped into a secret garden.
Near the resort entrance, there was a reception area, the DaRa Spa (which I’ve reviewed previously), and a restaurant 겸 bar. Breakfast was included and served via room service, so unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to use the restaurant itself.
You can really sense the unique Balinese atmosphere from photos of this place. The landscaping was even more perfect than I expected, creating a forest-like tranquility that felt incredibly healing just by being within the resort. And since it’s a small luxury hotel with only 12 pool villas, it offered a truly private and serene stay.
One Bedroom Pool Villa Details
We stayed in Villa No. 8, named ‘Camara.’ All accommodations here are pool villas, meaning each one is a private, standalone building. I loved the welcoming touch of having our names displayed at the entrance of our villa. The signs for ‘Do Not Disturb’ or ‘Make Up Room’ were also quite charming and unique.
Living Room and Bedroom Area
The one-bedroom pool villa we stayed in was the hotel’s standard room type, yet it was incredibly spacious at 250㎡ (approximately 2690 sq ft). The bedroom had a cozy ambiance, and the view of our private outdoor pool from there was impressive. The design, which features more outdoor than indoor space, is perfectly suited for relaxing in the villa, swimming, and enjoying various activities.
We were able to comfortably enjoy our welcome drinks as they were brought directly to our room. The welcome fruit basket, with bananas and other tropical fruits, was also a cute and thoughtful touch. Next to the bed, there was a large sofa, perfect for sitting or lounging while relaxing on our phones.
Bathroom Area
The bathroom was as spacious as the room itself, providing ample space to store luggage. It featured a huge bathtub, and amenities like a rattan bag for use within the resort and bottled water were well-stocked, ensuring a comfortable stay. The bathroom also had direct access to the outdoor area, making it very convenient to shower immediately after a swim.
Outdoor Dining Space
Connected to the private pool, the outdoor dining area has a table where you can enjoy private meals such as breakfast, room service, or a romantic dinner. When you order food, staff members enter through a separate back entrance to set everything up. There are also dishes and utensils provided for simple cooking, which can be very useful depending on your needs.
A capsule coffee machine and a large refrigerator with separate fridge and freezer compartments were provided, which was very practical in Bali’s warm weather. All the drinks in the minibar were complimentary.
Private Outdoor Pool
The highlight of Alaya Dedaun Kuta’s pool villas is undoubtedly the private outdoor pool. It’s significantly larger than typical villa pools, offering plenty of space for a proper swim. Sunbeds are provided, and the surrounding area is beautifully landscaped with trees and plants, making it incredibly relaxing just to lie there listening to the sound of the water.
On our second morning, we enjoyed a floating breakfast here. It was so romantic! The basket was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers, and it came generously laden with coconut, coffee, other drinks, and a variety of food. We had a delicious meal and took lots of lovely photos.
