This exclusive property is the private sister to The Legian Seminyak, a resort situated right on the beach. Discovering The Club by The Legian
Since we were already staying at The Legian, moving over was effortless. After checking out, a buggy whisked us just across the street to The Club. The journey took only a moment, but it felt like we had entered an entirely different world. In short, imagine The Club as The Legian’s more intimate and exclusive counterpart, a private estate of luxurious, self-contained pool villas.
As we pulled up, our dedicated butler was waiting to welcome us. A key part of the experience here is the personalized butler service that every guest receives, among many other thoughtful benefits that unfold throughout your stay.
Resort Atmosphere and Check-In
The moment you step inside the property, a sense of peace and privacy washes over you. With only a handful of villas, the grounds are a quiet sanctuary where you hardly see another soul. You’ll also notice a fleet of high-end cars near the entrance, a rare sight in Bali. These are the resort’s private limousines, ready to provide guests with complimentary airport transfers and chauffeur services anywhere in the Seminyak area.
Check-in happens in the resort’s only communal space, a beautiful restaurant and lounge that serves as the heart of the property. This is also where you’ll enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea, and complimentary evening cocktails. We were greeted with a crisp, non-alcoholic cocktail made with ingredients from the on-site wellness garden. That first sip was a sign of the exceptional quality that defines this place.
After checking in, we were handed an old-fashioned key attached to a charming seashell keychain. It was a small, analog touch that I absolutely loved.
The Main Pool
Even though The Club is an exclusive enclave of just 13 villas, it has a generously sized main pool. Since every villa already has its own private pool, we almost never saw anyone else here, making it feel like our own personal oasis. The plush sunbeds were always perfectly arranged and ready for an afternoon of quiet relaxation.
Our One Bedroom Pool Villa
We stayed in the One Bedroom Pool Villa. Unlocking the grand, heavy gate revealed a sprawling private compound that took our breath away. To the left lay our personal pool with its own bar and lounge area, while the villa itself stood to the right. The whole space felt elegant, secluded, and was impeccably maintained.
Complimentary In-Villa Private Bar
Just inside the gate, an open-air pavilion houses a private bar and lounge. It was fully stocked with a selection of complimentary items, including premium spirits, a coffee machine, juices, and soft drinks. Everything is replenished daily, so we could mix a cocktail or grab a drink whenever we liked.
This little pavilion became our go-to spot for an evening drink and the perfect place to enjoy a quiet coffee in the morning.
The Private Pool
The private pool was surprisingly large, giving us plenty of room to swim and float around. Surrounded by lush, manicured gardens, the setting was both beautiful and atmospheric, making for some great photos.
Two sunbeds sat on one side of the pool, while two chic daybeds offered another spot for lounging near the villa. This smart layout gave us multiple options for relaxing, whether we wanted to sunbathe, read, or just do nothing at all.
Inside the Villa
The interior was just as spacious as the grounds. The design was reminiscent of The Legian but with an extra touch of sophistication. We loved how the large windows framed views of the gardens and tranquil water features, filling the room with a sense of calm.
We spent most of our indoor time in the comfortable living area. Beyond the outdoor bar, the villa has another minibar inside, also stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks. Having so many options at our fingertips made it tempting to just stay in and enjoy the villa all day.
The TV supported screen mirroring, so we could easily stream videos from our phones.
Because the villa is a standalone structure, it was completely quiet, ensuring an undisturbed night’s sleep. The high, vaulted ceilings also gave the entire space a wonderfully open and airy feeling.
The suite-style layout, which separates the living room from the bedroom, felt both functional and spacious. The decor throughout was cozy yet refined. Between the peaceful setting and the luxurious bedding, we had one of the best nights of sleep in a long time.
The bathroom connects seamlessly to the bedroom, sharing the same modern and stylish aesthetic. It featured dual vanities set far apart from each other, which was a nice touch, and came fully stocked with high-quality toiletries.
A separate dressing area offered plenty of room for our luggage and clothes. In the closet, we found some unique, high-quality slippers and a chic rattan bag to use during our stay. If you happen to fall in love with the bag, you can purchase one at the hotel shop to take home as a souvenir.
Leading off the bathroom was a private courtyard with a beautiful outdoor bathtub. The resort provides bath salts, candles, and everything else you need for a romantic and relaxing soak under the stars.
Dining and Services at the Resort
Afternoon Tea
Every guest is treated to a complimentary afternoon tea, served daily from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. It was a wonderful treat right when you start craving a coffee and something sweet.
Cocktail Hour
From 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM every evening, the resort offers complimentary cocktails and canapés. This generous four-hour window is a fantastic perk. Even though we aren’t big drinkers, we loved sitting back with a glass of sparkling wine and enjoying the relaxed evening atmosphere.
Private Limousine Service
Guests can take advantage of complimentary airport transfers and an on-demand chauffeur service within Seminyak. We used the service for our departure to the airport and were so impressed. The vehicle was spotless, and our butler drove us, making the journey comfortable and ensuring a completely stress-free end to our trip.
Final Thoughts on Our Stay
Our stay in the One Bedroom Pool Villa at The Club by The Legian was an experience I won’t soon forget. While it’s an ideal choice for any traveler seeking peace and quiet, I can’t recommend it enough for couples or honeymooners looking for a private, luxurious escape.
