The Trans Resort Bali Review: A 5-Star Gem in Seminyak

Experience Luxury at The Trans Resort Bali

If you are planning a trip to Bali and looking for that perfect spot in Seminyak, I have a gem to share with you. I recently spent two unforgettable nights at The Trans Resort Bali, a 5-star haven right in the heart of the action. Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations in ways I didn’t anticipate. From the genuine warmth of the staff to the luxurious suites and the stunning beach-like pool, every detail was spot on. If you are currently weighing your options for a resort in Seminyak, I hope my review helps you decide.

Welcome to The Trans Resort Bali

Lobby & Check-in Experience

Stepping into the lobby, you are immediately struck by the unique atmosphere. The architecture features soaring ceilings and an open-air design that captures the breeze, while the vibrant interior decor and artwork add a distinct, exotic touch. Even when the lobby is busy, it never feels crowded. It’s the kind of space where you can just sit back, relax, and soak in the holiday vibes.

Having stayed in my fair share of hotels, I always feel that a seated check-in is a subtle marker of true luxury. Upon arrival, the staff whisked our luggage away and guided us to comfortable seating for the check-in process. We were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels, which was exactly what we needed to cool down.

On one side of the lobby, you will find the ARSA Boutique. Here, they showcase high-quality handicrafts made by artisans from across Indonesia. What’s lovely is that all proceeds go to the CT ARSA Foundation to support these artisans and other social causes in the country.

Resort Landscape & The Pool

Looking out from the lobby past the check-in desk, you get a sweeping view of the resort grounds and the main pool. It’s clearly the heart of the property, with plenty of guests enjoying a swim or lounging on the sunbeds.

This isn’t just any hotel pool, though. It features a man-made beach created with white sand imported directly from Australia. The sand is incredibly soft to the touch, making it a fantastic environment for families; children can safely play in the sand just as if they were at the beach.

From the upper level near the lobby, the view is even better. The blend of towering palm trees and the sandy “beach” creates an exotic landscape that is rare to find in other resorts in the area.

For dining, you have two main venues: The Restaurant and The 18th Rooftop Bar, alongside in-room dining options. The Restaurant is conveniently located right next to the lobby and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The resort’s layout makes everything easily accessible, which is a huge plus.

The Celebrity Suite Experience

Let me introduce you to the room where I spent my two nights: the Celebrity Suite. As the name suggests, it makes you feel like a VIP. Spanning a massive 130m² (approx. 1,400 sq ft), the space is incredibly generous with a distinct separation between the living room and the bedroom. The absolute highlight, however, is the direct pool access, allowing you to step straight into the water from your terrace.

A lavish spread of welcome fruits and desserts awaited us. One reason I highly recommend The Trans Resort Bali is its impeccable cleanliness. In many tropical resorts, leaving sweet treats out is an invitation for ants, but here? Not a single one. It was spotless. They also provided over 10 bottles of complimentary water, which was very thoughtful.

If you need to get some work done, there is a proper desk setup that I found very useful. The room also contains plenty of information about in-room dining, promotions, and activities. We utilized the laundry service during our stay and were very pleased with the results.

Additionally, this suite comes with 24-hour butler service. Connecting via WhatsApp made it incredibly easy to make requests or ask questions. Whenever we needed anything, our butler was just a quick message away.

The Bedroom

The bedroom exudes a clean yet luxurious vibe. Bedding is crucial in any high-end hotel, and you can tell just by looking at it that quality is a priority here. They use 100% goose down and Egyptian cotton with a thread count of over 320. Combined with a pillow menu that lets you choose your preference, it is clear they take sleep quality seriously.

Since we were on the ground floor with pool access, I could lie in bed and still enjoy the view of the water. For parents, this setup is ideal as you can easily keep an eye on your kids playing in the pool from the comfort of your room.

Walk-in Closet & Storage

Connecting the bedroom to the main bathroom is a spacious utility area. This acts as a walk-in closet and dressing room, complete with a vanity and ample space for luggage. It was great to be able to fully unpack and organize our things. The attention to detail, down to the branded shopping bags and amenities, was lovely.

The Bathroom

The bathroom is stocked with extensive, high-quality amenities, including mouthwash. A delightful surprise was finding Acqua di Parma toiletries provided for personal use. I’m a huge fan of this brand, and while I’ve seen it in the public areas of ultra-luxury hotels like the Regent Phu Quoc, seeing it as an in-room amenity was a first for me. It definitely added a touch of class.

The facilities are top-notch, featuring a modern toilet with a bidet, a large soaking tub, and double vanities for convenience. The entire setup felt very sophisticated and well-maintained.

The Balcony

One of the most impressive features of the Celebrity Suite is undoubtedly the balcony. It’s equipped with a daybed, a table, and a drying rack for your swimsuits. The real privilege here is having your own private gate that leads directly into the main pool. A cleverly placed wall in the water ensures that other guests don’t swim right up to your room, so you can enjoy the pool with a sense of privacy.

The balcony isn’t just for swimming access, though. We took advantage of the space to enjoy a romantic course dinner served right in our room, which was a unique and memorable experience. But honestly, my favorite moments were just lounging on the daybed with a cold beer, scrolling through my phone, and doing absolutely nothing.

Final Thoughts

The Trans Resort Bali was one of those rare stays where the reality was even better than the photos. The quality of the room, the amenities, and the genuine hospitality of the staff made it a standout experience. Stay tuned for my next post, where I’ll dive deeper into the resort’s facilities and share the best spot to catch that famous Bali sunset with a drink in hand.
