Arriving at Terminal 2 of Incheon Airport, you’re immediately greeted by a stunning ceiling sculpture inspired by Hangeul, the Korean alphabet. The way the lights shift and play across the design always feels impressive and welcoming.

For this flight, I was traveling in economy class, so I used the self-drop bag service for faster check-in. If you’ve checked in online, you can head straight to the kiosks with your mobile boarding pass—just tag and drop your bag, and you’re good to go. The whole process is fast and convenient, usually taking about five minutes.

Boarding was smooth, and the flight was almost full—a testament to the popularity of this route. If you need headphones, you can grab them at the entrance or request them from the crew.

Seat Selection: Row 41A/B, Ideal for Couples

The economy cabin has a 3-3-3 layout, but seats 41A and 41B at the rear are just two seats together—perfect for couples. These seats let you recline without worrying about anyone behind you, though you are near the lavatory and galley, which could be noisy on a longer journey.

Seats were tidy and comfortable. While the monitors and remote controls showed their age, they were perfectly adequate for this short-haul route. The seat pitch is about 33–34 inches (84–86 cm), slightly roomier than most budget airlines, making it comfortable for most passengers.

The flight from Incheon to Osaka is quick—typically about 90 minutes. As soon as we reached cruising altitude and the seatbelt sign was off, the meal service started.

According to Korean Air’s website, KE725 typically serves “Beef with Ginger Sauce.” On my flight, however, I received a hearty “Beef Stew.” The menu can change, so check ahead if you have dietary restrictions.

The tray included beef stew with vegetables, mashed potatoes, pineapple, a savory snack, bottled water, and a selection of drinks. For a short flight, getting a hot meal is a nice touch (flights to places like Fukuoka usually only have a sandwich or rice ball).

Even though I’d already eaten at the lounge, I had to try the beef stew. It was flavorful and comforting—the beef and potatoes were tender and well-seasoned. The included snack was one of my favorites, great on its own or with a cold beer.

After the meal service, the crew began prepping the cabin for arrival about 30–40 minutes before landing, likely in anticipation of turbulence. We landed safely at Kansai International Airport. Do note: immigration lines in Osaka, Tokyo, and Fukuoka can be long—plan for a 30-minute wait after arrival.

Final Thoughts

Overall, flying Korean Air’s KE725 on the B777-200ER was a very pleasant experience. For a short hop like Incheon to Osaka, most airlines will get you there, but if you value a wider, more comfortable aircraft and a smooth ride, Korean Air’s 777 is a solid choice.
