Tokado Coffee in Fukuoka | A Must-Visit Drip Coffee Spot

Hello.🖐️🖐️ Today, I’d like to introduce you to Tokado Coffee, one of the cafes I visited during my trip to Fukuoka. Tokado Coffee is a coffee shop located in Fukuoka, Japan, whose owner, Naoki Goto, won the World Coffee Roasting Championship 2013 in Nice, France. Based on this roasting technique, they serve high quality coffee and have become a favorite coffee shop in the Fukuoka area. If you like coffee, it’s a great place to visit.

About Tokado Coffee

I visited Fukuoka in July, so the weather was very, very hot, and I wanted to have a quick cup of coffee in the hot weather, and Tokado Cafe was introduced in the Fukuoka City Information Guide, so I visited it. My hostel was right near Nakasu Kawabata Station, and it happened to be located in Hakata Riverain Mall, which is right near the station lol.

Tokado Coffee doesn’t have a separate space like a regular cafe, but is open in the mall itself. As you approach the store, you are greeted by the aroma of fresh beans and coffee.

The only downside is that there aren’t many tables. Most of the people I saw were sitting at the bar where they make the drip, but it’s worth noting that during peak hours, there may not be any seats available.

There are a variety of coffee beans available, and you can choose your favorite beans and order drip coffee. It’s nice to sit and relax while watching the coffee being carefully brewed and smelling the aroma of the coffee👍👍 We were disappointed that we had to order takeout because we had our next appointment.

To go | Iced coffee 378 yen ☕

I ordered a coffee and looked at the products on display. Since it’s the middle of summer, they also sell beans for iced coffee, and they have a variety of beans and coffee-related products, so you can buy them as souvenirs. I’m very interested in coffee, so I looked around for a while : )

There were a lot of locals rather than tourists and they bought a lot of products such as beans, drip coffee, and cold brew. There are various types of coffee, so if you tell the staff your taste, they will recommend it to you, and it was nice to see them respond so kindly👍.

I took takeout, but I was disappointed that the amount was a little small, but it was good because it was aromatic and flavorful coffee👍 It was very pleasant to smell the fresh coffee beans every time I breathed in. I recommend this place where you can enjoy drip coffee with fresh beans at a good price : ) Coffee lovers, please stop by : )

Overall Review

Today we introduced you to Tokado Coffee, one of the many cafes in Fukuoka that are known for their drip coffee. They have two branches in Fukuoka, so if you’re in the mood for fresh, delicious coffee or want to buy some beans or drip bags, head on over to the one near you : )
