Hello everyone! 🖐️ Today, I’m excited to share my experience flying Korean Air KE725 from Incheon to Osaka Kansai International Airport. This review covers the seat, in-flight meal, and overall experience. The aircraft for this flight was the Boeing 777-200ER, but please note that the aircraft type may vary. Whether you’re planning to fly this route or are just curious about Korean Air’s economy class on the B777-200ER, I hope this review helps!

Check-in at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2

When you arrive at Terminal 2 of Incheon Airport, you’ll notice a beautiful ceiling sculpture inspired by Korean Hangeul characters. The changing lights make it a treat to admire every time I visit.

Since I was flying economy this time, I opted for a faster check-in process using the self-drop bag service. If you’ve completed online check-in, you’ll have your mobile boarding pass ready, and all you need to do is check in your luggage. The process is quick—usually taking about five minutes—before you can head to security. If you haven’t done mobile check-in, you can still use the machines for a hassle-free experience.

After checking in my luggage, I proceeded through security and passport control to the duty-free area. I took a quick look around the duty-free shops before heading to the lounge. If you have complimentary lounge access, don’t miss the chance to relax and enjoy a meal before your flight. It’s a great way to recharge.

Boarding KE725: Incheon to Osaka on the B777-200ER

The flight was operated on Korean Air’s Boeing 777-200ER, which, according to the airline’s website, has a total of 261 seats divided into First, Prestige, and Economy classes. I’ve flown on this aircraft with Jin Air, Korean Air’s subsidiary, and I enjoy its spacious and stable feel.

As I boarded KE725, I noticed the flight was nearly full—unsurprising for such a popular route. If you need headphones, you can pick them up at the entrance or request them from the cabin crew.

Seat Selection: Row 41A/B, Perfect for Couples

The economy cabin on the B777-200ER has a 3-3-3 layout, but rows 41A and 41B at the back have only two seats. I snagged these seats during seat selection, and they’re perfect for couples. Since there’s no one behind you, you can recline without worry. However, note that these seats are near the lavatories and galley, which might be a bit disruptive on longer flights.

The seats were clean and well-maintained, though the monitor and remote control showed their age. Still, for a short flight to Osaka, they were more than adequate. The seat pitch is slightly more generous than most low-cost carriers, measuring 84–86 cm (33–34 inches), so average-height passengers should feel comfortable.

Flight Duration and Takeoff

The flight from Incheon to Osaka typically takes about 1.5 hours. Shortly after the seatbelt sign was turned off, the meal service began.

In-Flight Meal on KE725

Korean Air provides in-flight meal information on their website. For KE725, the listed menu was “Beef with Ginger Sauce,” but during my flight, the meal was “Beef Stew.” The menu changes periodically, so keep that in mind.

The tray included beef stew with vegetables, mashed potatoes, pineapple, a snack, bottled water, and a choice of beverages. Despite the short flight, it was nice to receive a hot meal instead of a cold option. (For comparison, shorter flights like Fukuoka typically offer sandwiches or rice balls.)

Although I wasn’t particularly hungry after dining at the lounge, I couldn’t resist trying the beef stew. It was incredibly flavorful—the beef and mashed potatoes were well-seasoned, tender, and satisfying. The snack was also a favorite of mine: savory, perfect on its own, or paired with beer.

Arrival at Osaka Kansai International Airport

After the meal service, the crew prepared for landing about 30–40 minutes early, likely due to turbulence precautions. We arrived safely, and I proceeded to immigration. Keep in mind that airports like Osaka, Tokyo, and Fukuoka often have long immigration lines, so expect a wait of about 30 minutes.

Final Thoughts

Flying Korean Air’s KE725 on the B777-200ER was a pleasant experience. For a short-haul route like Incheon to Osaka, any carrier will suffice, but if you appreciate larger aircraft or a more stable and comfortable journey, Korean Air’s wide-body planes are a great choice. Stay tuned for more updates on my Osaka trip. Thank you for reading! 😊

Hello 🖐️🖐️! Today, I’m excited to share my experience at the QWACHI Restaurant breakfast buffet at the Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa. For me, breakfast is the highlight of any hotel stay, and QWACHI did not disappoint. Designed as a “Buffet & Grill” concept, it offers a variety of Okinawan specialties. From freshly grilled hamburger patties to DIY spam musubi, taco rice, and Okinawan Blue Seal ice cream, there’s a range of delicious options. Here’s an in-depth look!

Introduction to QWACHI Restaurant at Oriental Hotel Okinawa

The hotel offers breakfast at three locations: QWACHI, Jinanbo Restaurant, and the Club Lounge (for Club Room guests). During my two-night stay, I tried both QWACHI and the Club Lounge and was highly satisfied with both. If you’re booking a stay, I’d recommend including breakfast or booking a Club Room for access to the lounge. 👍👍

[Book on Hotels.com]

What Does “QWACHI” Mean?

Interesting note: QWACHI means “festival” in Okinawan, and it serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. So even if you’re not planning to have breakfast, you can enjoy a meal there during your stay.

Breakfast Options at Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa

Breakfast is available in three ways: dining at the restaurant, a breakfast box, or a takeaway option. Pre-order the breakfast box by 8 PM the day before, or choose a takeaway box to enjoy your meal comfortably in your room if you prefer a quieter setting.

QWACHI Breakfast Buffet Cost and Hours

The buffet costs 3,600 yen per adult and is open from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM (last order at 10:00). I visited during a peak time, so there was a short 10-minute wait. The waiting system was efficient, allowing me to explore nearby shops while my number was called.

QWACHI Restaurant Atmosphere and Seating

QWACHI seats up to 346 guests (including 114 additional spaces), offering a spacious, high-ceilinged, and well-designed dining area. The tables are large with ample spacing, ensuring a comfortable dining experience.

Dining Experience and Food Selection at QWACHI Restaurant

The first thing that caught my eye was the colorful donut display. The “donut wall” was beautifully arranged, with a variety of flavors that instantly drew me in. I found it especially fun watching kids decide on their favorite flavors.

Local Okinawan Ingredients and Specialties

QWACHI’s buffet is known for its extensive use of local Okinawan ingredients. Alongside popular dishes from the Oriental Hotel brand, there are numerous live cooking stations featuring Okinawan specialties. There’s also an “island pork” section with a locally popular breakfast steak.

Mini Hamburger Station at QWACHI Restaurant

One of the highlights was the mini hamburger corner. Reflecting Okinawa’s American influence, these burgers are made fresh with patties grilled to order. The aroma of grilling patties filled the air, sparking my appetite the moment I stepped inside.

DIY Stations and Fresh Juice Bar

The live station for truffle eggs benedict, DIY taco rice, and spam musubi was also a hit. For the musubi, guests can grill their own seaweed on charcoal and choose toppings to customize it.👍👍

Another standout was the fresh orange juice station, which uses whole oranges. I’m a big fan of orange juice at breakfast, and having it freshly squeezed was a real treat! It tasted incredibly fresh compared to store-bought juice.👍👍

Unlimited Blue Seal Ice Cream

Okinawa’s famous Blue Seal ice cream was also available, with unlimited servings in mango, shikuwasa, vanilla, chocolate, and brown sugar flavors.

QWACHI Restaurant’s Breakfast Buffet

The breakfast buffet had so many tasty options, allowing me to enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal. The mini burgers were especially popular; the combination of the grilled patty, bun, tomatoes, and vegetables was delightful. I also loved customizing my musubi and taco rice to my liking. The variety of live stations made breakfast a truly delightful experience.

When finishing your meal, simply place your “Reserved Table” card in the adorable whale shark’s mouth as you exit.

Overall Review of the Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa Breakfast Buffet

QWACHI’s breakfast buffet at the Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa was truly memorable. With an abundance of Okinawan ingredients, live cooking stations, and specialty items, there’s fun in creating your own dishes. Though it can get busy, the staff quickly replenished food, and the spacious dining area never felt crowded. I highly recommend adding breakfast to your stay here! 👍👍 If you prefer dining in your room, there’s a takeaway box option as well—choose whichever best suits your needs!

Korean Air Flight KE781 on Airbus A321 NEO: Seat and In-Flight Meal Review

Hello! 🖐️🖐️ Today, I’m excited to share my experience traveling from Incheon Airport to Fukuoka, Japan on Korean Air flight KE781 aboard the Airbus A321 NEO. I’ll be covering the seat comfort and in-flight meal. Additionally, I recently bought a large suitcase from the duty-free shop and had the experience of gate-checking it, which I’ll also discuss. Since the A321 NEO is a new addition to Korean Air’s fleet, there were several differences compared to other aircraft I’ve flown on before. Let’s dive into the details 🙂

Korean Air Check-In at Incheon Airport

For this trip, since I was flying with Korean Air, I parked at Terminal 2’s long-term parking lot and took the shuttle bus to the terminal. The first order of business was to check in with the airline. If you don’t have any checked baggage, you can check in online and proceed directly to security with your mobile boarding pass. Since I had luggage to check, I used the self bag drop to send off my bags and utilized the mobile boarding pass. Capturing a screenshot of the mobile boarding pass made it really convenient to use 👍👍

After dropping off my bags and clearing security and immigration, I headed to the gate. Since I use an eSIM, I didn’t need to rent pocket Wi-Fi, so there wasn’t much to do at the airport. I picked up my duty-free items, enjoyed a meal at the lounge, relaxed, and then boarded the flight.

At Terminal 2, I usually use the Matina Gold Lounge unless I’m accessing an airline lounge. The food there is quite good, and it’s a comfortable space to relax, so I’m quite satisfied with it 🙂

Review of Korean Air Flight KE781 on the A321 NEO

Boarding Experience

This was the first time I had to board a bus at Incheon Airport instead of using a jet bridge. I can understand taking a bus, but the bus didn’t depart for about 30 minutes until the last passenger arrived, which was quite inconvenient. Standing in a crowded bus for an extended period was pretty frustrating. The aircraft wasn’t that far away, so I think they could have made multiple trips back and forth. It felt like there was a lack of consideration for the passengers, which was disappointing.

Because there were so many people on the bus, we had to wait quite a while to board the plane in an orderly manner once we arrived. It was also raining, which made things even more cumbersome. I hope Korean Air can improve this process, either by avoiding bus boarding when possible or by making multiple trips to ensure a smoother boarding experience. On the plus side, I did get an up-close look at the new aircraft, which was nice 😊

Cabin and Seating

Unlike Asiana Airlines, which provides headsets at each seat, Korean Air offers disposable earphones that you can take if you need them.

As I boarded, I got a glimpse of the Prestige (Business) Class seats. Perhaps because it was a short flight to nearby Fukuoka, there weren’t many passengers in that cabin. For a small narrow-body aircraft, the Business Class seemed quite well-appointed. It’s arranged in a 2-2 configuration, and the seats were spacious and clean. I’d love to try it out next time. Compared to the Prestige Class on other narrow-body aircraft like the Boeing 737, it seemed much better 👍👍

Economy Class Experience

The seat upholstery differed from typical Korean Air designs. While comfort felt similar, the color scheme and overall appearance were somewhat different. I suspect they might be using new colors in preparation for the merger with Asiana Airlines.

I was seated in row 28, the very first row of Economy Class, which offered plenty of legroom and was quite comfortable 👍 Being a new aircraft, the screen resolution was excellent, making it enjoyable to watch. In the first row, the screens are mounted on the wall in front, so you can’t use touch controls; instead, a separate remote control is provided.

The Airbus A321 NEO on Korean Air offers paid Wi-Fi service during the flight. Since it was a very short trip, I didn’t try it out this time. Previously, on a flight to New York with ANA Airlines, I used in-flight Wi-Fi. Although it was slow, it was useful and kept me from getting bored during the flight 👍

Despite the light rain, there were no significant delays, and we quickly prepared for takeoff.

Today’s Amazing Flight Deals. Book Now at Expedia.com

In-Flight Meal on Korean Air to Fukuoka

Perhaps because it’s a new aircraft, there’s a device on the tray table that allows you to prop up your phone or tablet for easy viewing, which I found quite handy 👍 Especially on long flights, it’s convenient not to have to hold your phone or tablet while watching videos.

Shortly after takeoff, the in-flight meal was served. For the Incheon to Fukuoka route, Korean Air provides a very simple meal. It was a basic sandwich with cheese and ham, and to be honest, it wasn’t very tasty 😅 I recommend having a substantial meal at the airport restaurant or lounge before boarding.

Since KE781 departs in the evening, we arrived in Fukuoka under sparkling city lights. Despite the A321 being a small, narrow-body aircraft, the flight was smooth and turbulence-free. While I usually prefer larger planes for their stability and space, the A321 was perfectly adequate for this short flight 🙂

Overall Impression

On this trip to Fukuoka, I got to experience Korean Air’s new Airbus A321 NEO. New is definitely better 👍👍 The aircraft was clean and comfortable, and the high-resolution screens added to the enjoyment. The in-flight meal was quite simple, so I wouldn’t set high expectations there. The biggest issue was boarding via bus instead of a jet bridge, which was quite problematic. I hope Korean Air will improve this aspect in the future.

[Hyatt Points: 25% Bonus Offer (Until Jan 4, 2025)]

Hyatt Points: 25% Bonus Offer (Until Jan 4, 2025)

Hello! 🖐️🖐️ Today, I’m excited to share details about a promotion for those looking to buy Hyatt points. With this promotion, you can earn a 25% bonus on purchased points, which can help you book select Hyatt hotels at a lower rate. If you have upcoming travel plans, consider comparing the cost of using points versus paying directly. If points turn out to be the better deal, now could be the perfect time to make a purchase!

🏨 Hyatt Points Promotion: 25% Bonus on Points Purchases

  • Promotion Period: November 1, 2024, 12:00 AM (ET) – January 4, 2025, 11:59 PM (ET)
  • Bonus: Receive a 25% point bonus when purchasing 5,000 points or more
  • Maximum Purchase Limit:
    • Up to 55,000 points annually
    • During the promotion, you can purchase up to 110,000 points (bonus points do not count towards the annual limit)
  • Eligibility: Open to World of Hyatt members who have been registered for at least 60 days

Hyatt usually caps points purchases at 55,000 points per year, but this promotion allows you to buy up to 110,000 points! For instance, buying 55,000 points earns you an additional 13,750 points with the 25% bonus, totaling 68,750 points. The cost is $1,320, bringing each point to around 1.92 cents. [LINK]

📌 Benefits of Purchasing Points

  • Increase Your Point Balance: Provides flexibility in managing travel expenses.
  • Bring Your Dream Trip Closer: Accumulate points faster for your travel goals.
  • Prevent Points from Expiring: Keeping your account active helps retain your points.

If you’d like the flexibility to cancel or modify reservations, booking with points is often a great choice, as most point-based reservations are fully cancellable. So, if you value flexibility, this option could be ideal. 👍

📍 Maximizing Point Stays

Staying at high-end hotels like the Park Hyatt Maldives or locations in Tokyo and Kyoto offers the best value for points. For instance, a room at the Park Hyatt Kyoto typically costs over 180,000 JPY per night, but you can book it for 40,000 points. At 0.0192 USD per point, that comes to about $768, making it a more affordable option than paying the standard rate. [LINK]

⚠️ Terms to Note

  • This promotion is only available for online purchases and cannot be combined with other offers.
  • A minimum purchase of 5,000 points is required to qualify for the 25% bonus.
  • The 25% bonus is available only to World of Hyatt members who have been registered for at least 60 days.
  • Points can be bought in 1,000-point increments, up to a maximum of 110,000 points during the promotion.
  • Bonus points are excluded from the annual maximum purchase limit.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, Hyatt points hold a value of approximately 0.0192 USD per point. However, this value varies based on how and when you use the points, potentially ranging from as low as 0.01 USD to over 0.04 USD per point. It’s best to purchase points when you find the opportunity to get the most value, ideally at luxury properties. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions about using Hyatt points! 😊
