Yokohama Travel Guide: A Visit to Ralph’s Coffee by Polo Ralph Lauren

Yokohama, located near Tokyo, is one of Japan’s most charming travel destinations. The city beautifully balances a modern urban vibe with a unique cultural atmosphere. Today, I’m sharing my visit to Ralph’s Coffee, a stylish café by Polo Ralph Lauren, during my trip to Yokohama. Known for its exceptional coffee and chic ambiance, it’s a must-visit spot for coffee lovers. Although Ralph’s Coffee now has locations in Korea, the Yokohama branch offers a unique experience worth checking out while exploring the area.

Exploring Yokohama

Yokohama is conveniently accessible by train from Tokyo, making it an ideal destination for a quick day trip or a relaxed overnight stay. Known for its stunning harbor views and sleek modern architecture, Yokohama offers a sophisticated atmosphere. From luxury hotels to exciting attractions like the Anpanman Museum, Asia’s largest Chinatown, Red Brick Warehouse, Yamashita Park, and the iconic Minato Mirai 21 Ferris Wheel, there’s something for everyone.

Whether you’re visiting for a day or staying for a few nights, Yokohama is a city you’ll want to explore at a leisurely pace.

Ralph’s Coffee in Yokohama

Ralph’s Coffee, launched by the American fashion brand Polo Ralph Lauren, has gained global popularity for its stylish interiors and quality beverages. I’ve visited Ralph’s Coffee locations in Nagoya, Yokohama, and New York, and every visit has been a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

During my Yokohama trip, I stopped by the Ralph’s Coffee inside NEWoMan Yokohama, located on the 4th floor near the entrance to the Polo Ralph Lauren store. Unlike Tokyo’s branches, which often have long lines, this location was quieter, making it easier to find a seat.

The café has bar seating and a few tables near the clothing store. While the seating area isn’t large, the relaxed atmosphere ensures you can enjoy your coffee without a rush.

What’s on the Menu?

Ralph’s Coffee offers classic coffee options like Americano, Latte, and Cappuccino, starting at ¥605. They also serve a variety of teas, signature hot chocolate, juices, and lemonade. For those with a sweet tooth, their dessert menu includes muffins, brownies, cookies, and cakes.

Additionally, Ralph’s Coffee features exclusive merchandise such as mugs, tumblers, and caps. Though the prices are on the higher side—mugs start at ¥4,400, and caps at ¥8,800—the design and quality make them worthwhile for fans of the brand.

My Order at Ralph’s Coffee

Here’s what I tried during my visit:

  • Café Latte (Regular): ¥630
  • Lemonade: ¥650
  • Carrot Cake: ¥900
  • Polo Bear Cookie: ¥500

I usually prefer iced coffee, but I decided to try the latte after hearing about their adorable latte art. The coffee was smooth and nutty, perfectly balanced to suit most palates, including mine. While the dessert prices lean toward the premium side, the carrot cake was flavorful, and the iconic Polo Bear cookie added a fun touch to the experience.

Pricing Overview

For my latte, lemonade, carrot cake, and two Polo Bear cookies, the total came to ¥3,586. Keep this in mind when budgeting for your visit!

Final Thoughts

Ralph’s Coffee in Yokohama offers a cozy and stylish retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. While the Omotesando branch in Tokyo is famous but often crowded, the Yokohama location provides a more relaxed experience.

With a Ralph’s Coffee now open in Garosu-gil, Seoul, you don’t have to travel abroad to enjoy their signature latte art and charming ambiance. However, if you ever find yourself in Japan, New York, or other global locations, be sure to stop by and savor a warm latte and their signature desserts for the full Ralph’s Coffee experience. 😊
