Review of Hotel Peyto Samseong: Deluxe Twin Room, Breakfast

Hello there! 🖐️ If you’re contemplating a stay at a Gangnam hotel, let me introduce you to Hotel Peyto Samseong, a fantastic option I recently visited. Its prime location, just steps away from Samseong Station, makes it incredibly convenient. You’ll find yourself within walking distance of COEX, Hyundai Department Store, and many cultural and shopping attractions, making it an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers.

In this post, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about Hotel Peyto Samseong, from parking and room details to breakfast offerings. Let’s dive in!

Parking and Check-in

Hotel Peyto has two branches in Gangnam: Samseong and Gangnam. I drove from out of town and found the valet parking service very convenient, with friendly staff assisting promptly. Note that parking costs an additional 10,000 KRW per night, so it’s a good idea to confirm this while booking.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a beautifully decorated Christmas tree at the entrance, which added a festive touch to the experience. The hotel boasts 19 floors, with the lobby and front desk located on the second floor. Check-in is available from 3 PM, and check-out is until noon—offering more flexibility compared to other hotels with earlier check-out times.

The second floor also houses a fitness center, a business corner, and meeting rooms, catering to both leisure and business guests. For longer stays, the third floor provides a coin laundry with washers and dryers—a great convenience!

Deluxe Twin Room Overview

I stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room on the 17th floor, accessible via secure elevators requiring a key card. The hallway leading to the rooms was clean and modern, setting a relaxing tone.

Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed its clean and spacious design. Unlike carpeted rooms in many hotels, the wooden and tiled flooring here contributed to a fresher and allergy-friendly atmosphere.

One standout feature was the large, operable window, allowing for natural ventilation—a big plus for those who prefer fresh air. The twin beds were comfortable, and the workspace, complete with a long desk, was ideal for business travelers.

For this stay, I opted for the Winter Package, which included:

  • A Xiaomi TV stick for accessing streaming services like Netflix and YouTube.
  • Cheese snacks and two mulled wine capsules—perfect for a light evening treat.

The room was well-equipped with amenities such as a refrigerator, electric kettle, safe, wine glasses, coffee and tea, bathrobes, disposable slippers, and more. While the bathroom had a well-maintained shower booth, do note that disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, in line with local regulations. These can be purchased at the front desk for 1,000 KRW each.

Breakfast at Hotel Peyto Samseong

Breakfast is served on the basement level from 7 AM to 10 AM, Monday through Friday (not available on weekends). Prices are 22,000 KRW for adults and 13,200 KRW for children.

The dining area was spacious, with a clean and modern design that ensured a relaxed morning atmosphere. The menu featured a variety of Korean and Western dishes, including:

  • Salads, cereals, and breads.
  • Hot dishes like scrambled eggs, bacon, curry, and soups.
  • Coffee, juice, yogurt, and more.

I particularly enjoyed the warm soup with croutons, which was flavorful and comforting on a chilly morning. The diverse options cater to all tastes, making it easy to start the day on a satisfying note.

Location and Accessibility

Located at 9 Teheran-ro 87-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, the hotel offers exceptional convenience. Samseong Station and Hyundai Department Store are just a short walk away, making it a prime spot for business and leisure travelers alike. The express check-out option on the first floor adds another layer of convenience, allowing you to skip the lobby when checking out.

Final Thoughts

Hotel Peyto Samseong combines practicality with modern comforts, making it a great choice for travelers in Gangnam. Its clean and spacious rooms, natural ventilation, convenient facilities like a fitness center and coin laundry, and well-rounded breakfast offerings make it suitable for short stays, business trips, or extended visits.
