This all-day dining venue offers a mix of local and international dishes, and also houses the Seminyak Meat Shop — a steakhouse specializing in premium cuts. Courtyard Bali Seminyak Resort is a highly regarded Marriott property located in the heart of Seminyak. When I arrived, the lobby and pool areas were lively and full of guests. The atmosphere was a balance of luxury and relaxation, making it an ideal spot to enjoy both rest and local exploration.

The resort features 287 guest rooms, each with a private balcony or terrace for added comfort. It’s only a five-minute walk to Seminyak Beach and is surrounded by boutique shops, bars, restaurants, and the vibrant Eat Street, which showcases Bali’s trendiest culture.

Palm trees line the swimming pool nestled between the guest room wings, where the resort offers a poolside bar, sunbeds, and grassy lounging areas. As I watched guests unwind and relax in the space, I clearly understood why so many consider this resort a true haven for rest.

We arrived at Seminyak Kitchen right on time for our dinner reservation. The restaurant offers an eclectic selection of international dishes and is also home to the Seminyak Meat Shop, where we planned to enjoy steak for the evening.

One of the things that stood out was the exceptional value. The spa at the resort is top-rated on TripAdvisor, and the restaurant’s course meals are reasonably priced — 186k++ for two courses and 267k++ for three. Considering the hotel setting, it was surprisingly affordable.

The restaurant was packed with diners, making it hard to take photos of the interior. Despite the spacious layout, nearly every table was full, creating a buzzing atmosphere. Live music added a fun and festive vibe throughout the night.

For a quieter experience, we were seated in the Seminyak Meat Shop section. It was more refined and intimate than the main dining area — perfect for those seeking a relaxed yet elegant setting.

We were two adults and ordered two starters, two steaks, one dessert, and a drink. The service was perfectly timed, and the staff’s friendliness and attention to detail were genuinely impressive.


My Review of Dinner at Seminyak Meat Shop

Starters and Drinks

To start the meal, we were served warm bread — a simple yet satisfying touch. Fresh out of the oven and paired with herb butter, it was exactly what I needed after returning from the spa. Comforting and delicious.

Next came our drinks: mocktails. Since alcohol doesn’t suit us very well, we usually go for non-alcoholic options when traveling. These were beautifully presented and had all the charm of a real cocktail — perfect for setting the mood without the buzz. Highly recommended for anyone avoiding alcohol.

Amuse-Bouches & Appetizers

Before the main dishes arrived, we were served amuse-bouches — bite-sized appetizers that were crunchy and slightly spicy. They did a great job of awakening the appetite and setting the tone for the meal.

Our first appetizer was the SALMON CRUDO. The raw salmon was sliced thin and served with poached carrots and caper berries, offering a light, fresh, and tangy flavor combination that was incredibly refreshing.

Next came the WAGYU BEEF CARPACCIO, made with premium cuts of Wagyu beef. Delicate and tender, it melted in the mouth. The flavor was rich and luxurious — definitely one of the standout dishes of the evening.

Before our steaks were served, we received a small tray with three types of salt: pink Himalayan, lemongrass, and herb salt. The lemongrass salt was especially aromatic, and switching between salts added variety to each bite of steak.

The Main Event: Steaks

Then came the highlight: the AUS WAGYU RIB EYE 300g. This beautifully marbled cut delivered the rich, full-bodied flavor you’d expect from Australian Wagyu. The kitchen paired it with roasted garlic, which perfectly balanced the steak’s richness. The chef cooked the meat to an incredibly tender and satisfying finish.

Our second main was the USDA TENDERLOIN 200g. Leaner than the ribeye, but equally tender and flavorful. The depth of flavor in the meat was remarkable, and while both steaks were fantastic, I personally gave the edge to the ribeye.

To wrap up the meal, we ordered the YUZU PINA COLADA CHEESECAKE. This tropical dessert blended the tartness of yuzu with the creamy sweetness of pineapple and coconut — a creative twist on a classic. Presented with a dramatic dry ice effect, it delighted both our taste buds and our eyes.

As we were about to leave, we noticed a soft-serve machine at the entrance. A cheerful staff member offered us each a cone, which was a sweet and unexpected way to end the evening. We walked out with dessert in hand and smiles on our faces.

I absolutely enjoyed dining at the Seminyak Kitchen and Seminyak Meat Shop. Even though it’s located within a hotel, the restaurant delivers outstanding quality and value. The chefs carefully prepared each dish — from the appetizers to the steaks and dessert — and executed them with perfection. The staff showed genuine kindness and attentiveness, and the calm, refined atmosphere of the meat shop area enhanced the overall experience. If you’re visiting Seminyak and want a great steak dinner at a reasonable price, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
